CAPA Survey: Weather and climate services in Africa: Mapping the provision, research priorities, capacity-building needs and use
As part of the CAPA project, we are inviting organisations and individuals working on weather and climate services across Africa to take part in a new survey. The aim is to map the current landscape of climate services across the continent, understand existing initiatives and identify needs and priorities for future action.
We want to hear from a wide range of voices, including Regional Climate Centres, National Meteorological and Hydrological Services, research institutions, NGOs, UN agencies, humanitarian organisations and other relevant stakeholders. Whether you are based in Africa or work on the continent through research projects or partnerships, your perspective matters. Multiple responses from the same organisation are welcome, as we want to capture the diversity of experiences and viewpoints within the climate services community.
Take part in the survey
- Available in four languages: English, French, Portuguese and Arabic.
- Deadline: 22 November 2026.
- Who can participate? Any organisation or individual working on weather and climate services in Africa.
Share your experience — take the CAPA survey
As the second component of LEAP-Clim, the Climate Pillar of the AU-EU Climate Change and Sustainable Energy (CCSE) partnership, CAPA is developing a joint roadmap for 2028–2034 to strengthen climate resilience across Africa’s five regions.
This survey is an important step towards that goal. By sharing your experience, you can help build a clearer picture of existing climate services, highlight gaps and opportunities, and contribute to identifying priorities for future collaboration.
Every perspective counts.
